10+ Booked Inspections Every Month. Or I Pay You Back.

By Luis Johnson, founder of Lunere Digital. Published

10+ Booked Inspections Every Month. Or I Pay You Back. From day 90, every booking I am short of 10 in a month, you get $200 back. 8 booked means $400 back, up to everything you paid me that month. At $100 a day or more.

That's the whole guarantee, in the words it's written in. Everything below is what each part of it means, because a guarantee you have to decode isn't a guarantee.

The short version

  • The count is booked inspections in a calendar month, and the bar is 10.
  • It starts from day 90 after your ads go live, not from the day you sign.
  • It applies at $100 a day or more of ad spend, funded by you.
  • The payback is capped at everything you paid me that month, so it can never exceed your own fees.
  • You claim it within 7 days of the month ending.

Why day 90 and not day one

Because a new campaign is guessing for the first few weeks. It doesn't know which homeowner clicks, which symptom pulls in your ZIP codes, or what a booking costs there, and it finds out by spending.

A guarantee that counted month one would mean one of two things: either I pad the number by letting weaker bookings through, which costs you the drives, or I price the risk into the fee, which costs you the money. Day 90 is me saying the learning period is my problem and the steady state is what I'll be judged on.

Why it needs $100 a day

Ten booked inspections a month is a volume promise, and volume comes out of spend. Below $100 a day there's not enough traffic for ten bookings to be a fair thing to hold me to, in most markets.

You can run this on less. Plenty of shops start lower and raise it once they have seen the first bookings land. The guarantee simply doesn't apply down there, and I'd rather say that in writing than quietly fail it later.

What the payback actually works out to

Your numbers, example inputs

What the guarantee pays back in a month that comes up short

Every value below is an example input. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is saved.

Short of 10
3
Paid that month
$1,400
Owed back before the cap
$600
Paid back to you
$600

The cap is everything you paid that month, so a payback can never exceed your own fees. The count starts on day 90 after the ads go live, and it applies at $100 a day or more of ad spend.

The cap is the part worth reading twice. The payback can't be larger than what you paid me that month, so in a month where almost nothing lands, almost everything you paid comes back, and I don't end up owing you money on a month I earned nothing in.

What this guarantee doesn't cover

It counts bookings, not jobs. I don't guarantee what you sign, what you quote or what you collect, because I'm not in the house when the homeowner decides and it would be dishonest to promise a number I don't control.

It's not a refund on the build either. And it's not a replacement for the no-show rule: a booking that doesn't happen, or one that wasn't qualified, is refunded when you report it within 72 hours, whether or not the month hits ten.

How to claim it

  • Wait for the month to close.
  • Count the booked inspections that reached your calendar in that month.
  • Message me within 7 days of the month ending with that count.
  • The shortfall comes off your next weekly charge, or back to your card.

Does a no-show count toward the ten?

It counts as booked, because booking it's the part I control. If it no-showed or wasn't qualified, report it within 72 hours and that fee is refunded separately, which is the better outcome for you anyway.

What if I pause the ads for two weeks?

Then the month isn't a fair test of the pipeline and the guarantee doesn't apply to it. Spend has to be running at $100 a day or more for the count to mean anything.

Is this the same as risk free?

No, and I'll not call it that. You're funding ad spend that I can't give back, and the setup is real work that gets done whatever happens after it. What the guarantee covers is my fee.

Bring your ZIP codes to the call and we will talk about whether ten a month is realistic in them.
